1" & 2” Sycamore, European Curly (Flitch Cut Logs) – 8” to 20” wide x 10’ to 15’ long.  Live sawn edges, bark removed.  Very white with consistent good curly figure.

2-1/2” Walnut, French – 10” to 24” wide x 7’ to 8’ long.  Live sawn (flitch cut log form).  Excellent quality, bark removed.

4” Mahogany, S.A. Pattern Grade – 6” to 15” wide x 8’ to 12’ long.  The very best grade on the market.

*Due to the listing of Swietenia macrophylla (Tropical/South American Mahogany) on C.I.T.E.S Appendix 2 (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) it is impractical to ship this into the U.S.A. in small quanties because of the paperwork, and permit fees associated with all C.I.T.E.S. shipments.

2” Maple, Soft Roasted – 5” to 9” wide x 10 ‘ long.  Introduced in our last email update, we now carry the roasted soft maple in 2” as well as 2”.  Roasted at high heat, the wood is oxidized throughout to a deep golden brown colour.  Due to the heat treatment it is very stable.  The colour is reminiscent of Imbuya but more consistent.  A good option for projects requiring a consistent, inexpensive dark wood.

1” and 2” Rosewood, Indonesian – 3” to 7” wide x 50” to 80” long on the 1” and 54” to 66” long on the 2”.  Same botanical as East Indian Rosewood but plantation grown.

2-1/2” Walnut Crotch – 48” to 60” wide x 96” long.  A very beautiful log.  Very sound, no heart defect.  Some crotch figure in the center cut boards.  A few lag bolts encountered in sawing.  Fresh sawn.

2-1/2” Willow, Swirl – 36” to 60” wide x 96” long.  A swirly figure resulting in an interesting wane edge.  Some bark inclusions.  Cream to orange in colour.  Lots of swirly grain.

Swiss Pear Flat Cut and Quartered – 4” to 8” wide x 64” to 119” long.  Very consistent and classic pear colouration.  A sound quality log of veneer.

Padauk, Quartered – 8” to 12” wide x 11’ to 13’ long.  Bright orange with a slight quartered ribbon stripe.  A narrow, light contrasting band of sap wood on the edges of some bundles.

Pear, Dyed Black – 4” to 9” wide x 9’ long.  Black is the word here!  Defect free.

Myrtle Burl – 9” x 17” to 24” by 26”.  This was a great buy which we can offer at a great price.  Golden brown to a deep yellow.  A good distribution of burl figure and curl /swirl.  Very sound, and good bundle sizes.

Rosewood, East Indian - Flat Cut and Rift, 4” to 8” wide x 9’ to 10’ long.

Cherry, Black - Figured, 6” to 12” wide x 150” long.  An interesting wide broken curl figure consistent over the length.  No defects.  A very clean log.
