1” & 2” Lacewood, Qtrd. – 4” to 9” wide x 7’ to 10’ long. Genuine Australian Lacewood, grown in Brazil. The best quality we have seen in years. Good widths, lengths and quartered figure.

1” & 2” Rosewood, Indonesian – 4” to 7” wide x 5’ to 7’ long. This is the same botanically as genuine East Indian Rosewood but plantation grown. Similar colours to East Indian but a touch darker with a slightly coarser grain pattern.

Cherry Crotch – 9” to 18” wide x 20” to 31” long. A rare and unusual find. Distinctive feathery crotch figure with typical cherry colouring. Very minimal sap wood and defect. Priced according to swirl or crotch figure.

Maple Burl – 6” to 18” wide x 10” to 27” wide. Nice bright white burl with a good distribution of burl, curl and blister figure. Very flat with excellent dimensions.

Amboyna Burls – Various size burl caps from 30 lbs. to 160 lbs. and thicknesses up to 12”. These are whole burls cut right off the Amboyna logs. They are close to being round. All have excellent deep red tight burl figure with a lighter coloured contrasting sapwood on the outside of the burl. These can be custom sawn to any dimension.

Thuya Burl – Various weights of irregular shaped chunks from 20 lbs. to 60 lbs. Deep burnt orange colour with lots of burl figure. All these burls are very sound. Custom sawing is available.

Greetings musical instrument makers!

We have had a few additions to the stock in the musical instrument department in the last little while, and we thought it was time to draw your attention to them.

On the inlay front we have a new red, white, and black mosaic Classical Guitar Rosette(R7) that is rather eye catching. We are now offering our R1ss Rosette with a 111mm inside diameter that will allow a little more space between sound hole and rosette. New to our purfling products is Purfling P8 which is a 4.5mm wide mosaic inlay which is easiest to use straight. (i.e. for center strips on guitar backs.)

New to hardware are sealed gear bass guitar tuning machines. Available in 4/side and 2/side in chrome (gold and black available by special order at this point). For bass we are also offering a Chrome “Fender” TM style bridge. For guitar we have a stop tailpiece and a tune ‘o’ matic bridge (both in chrome).

In trying to keep building costs lower for guitar makers, we have decided to supply ebony and rosewood fingerboards in guitar size. We have just lately seen our price for ebony bass fingerboards jump from $34.00 to $42.00. Our Ebony Guitar will cost $25.50 and the East Indian Rosewood will cost $10.50. (Rosewood due Mid-end April)
